The MACC Preschool Phelan Campus has a parent participation option that establishes regular parent involvement while having parent requirements that are far less demanding than most other "participation" preschools. Participating parents have an opportunity to observe, and be involved in, their children's education from the very beginning.
Parent participation options:
a) Help in the classroom one day every six class meetings (1 day every 3 weeks for the 3-year old program and 1 day every 2 weeks for the 4 year old program).b) Attend the required Orientation before school opens. If you enter after the year opens, you need to complete a questionnaire about program policies and procedures.c) Attend three (3) Parent Meetings during the school yeard) Work one (1) of the three Saturday workdays for two hourse) Sign up for, and complete, one (1) Work Job during the school year. Jobs include such things as making playdough, typing the newsletter, ordering Scholastic books, etc.
