Moreland Area Community Centers offer preschool programs for 2- through 5-year-old children in West San Jose. There are both morning and afternoon programs with parent participation or drop-off (independent learning) options. MACC Preschool boasts teachers with extensive preschool experience and teacher training that meets and, in most cases, exceeds state licensing requirements. Our curriculum will prepare any child for the kindergarten classroom while ensuring they have fun along the way.

MACC Preschool - Eastus Campus offers a well-designed program using current child development concepts and education practices. Our nurturing atmosphere allows children to develop at their own pace with our low teacher:student ratio. Our balanced curriculum considers the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative needs of each child. Our indoor environment has many creative corners to explore including a creative arts center, puzzles, playdough table, dramatic play area, blocks, sensory table, and hands-on science. The outdoor environment provides exposure to sand, water, gardening, tricycles, and climbing structures. Our indoor-outdoor environment provides hands-on opportunities to develop a life-long love of learning.
MACC Preschool - Phelan Campus
Drop-off program with Parent Participation option
MACC Preschool - Phelan Campus offers a developmental program that is play-based with some structure. We also offer a parent participation option. There is a small tuition reduction for parents who assist in the classroom on a regular basis.
Our classes provide a first school experience in a warm, loving environment. We offer art exploration with a variety of media, children's literature, music, and rhythm and movement. The program also includes some science, cooking, pre-math and pre-reading. Throughout the program, we emphasize the process, not the product, and focus on the development of the whole child.
The MACC Preschool - Phelan Campus offers a large, child-centered classroom with a broad variety of activity areas as well as an extensive play yard. The classroom has creative corners to explore, including a creative arts center, blocks, puzzles, playdough table, and dramatic play area. The yard includes a huge sandbox, an elaborate climbing structure, lawn and garden areas, water and sensory tables, and plenty of space for tricycles and wheel toys.
