Feb. 8 Please bring a stamped self-addressed (to parents) envelope to school
Feb. 12 Valentines Party (children may bring 24 valentines for their classmates. Please have your child write his/her name. Please do not address the envelopes to specific children.)
Feb. 15 – 19 President’s Week - No School
Feb. 24 YSI Bug's Sanborn Field Trip - We will meet at Sanborn at 9:45am
The themes we will be working on this month are Valentine’s, patriotism, dental health, transportation, and community workers. For science we will learn about teeth, proper dental hygiene and the heart. We will also explore magnets and clean pennies. We will begin working on number recognition, counting and one-to-one correspondence. Our easel art will be large hearts. Other art projects will include valentines, painting with toothbrushes, and presidential pictures. In the skills department we will practice lacing and continue transfer tasks to enhance the pencil grip. We will start to focus on the vowels, names of the alphabet letters, and play games for reinforcement.
