Phelan's 3's May Newsletter 2008

Can you believe this is the last newsletter for this school year?  We will spend the first part of May discussing May Day and Mother's Day.  The remainder of May will be spent on a unit on the farm.

YEARLY JOBS

By Thursday, May 15th, all yearly parent jobs should be completed.  Please check our sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you are not sure which job you said you would do.

SUMMER BROCHURE

The summer brochure is out.  The Kids Corner Classes (for children who have been in the 3 & 4 year old preschool classes) will be held in our classroom.  Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Kamalski will be teaching, and would love to have your children join us.

FIELD TRIP

Our last class day on Thursday, June 5th will be a field trip to a park.  More details will follow in mid-May.

DAD'S NIGHT

Dad's night is Thursday, May 22nd.  There will NOT be a morning class on that day.  Instead, children will come to school with their dads (grandpas, uncles, etc.) from 6:30 to 8 pm.  (Please no siblings!)  Be sure to have dads reserve that night.  If there is no dad or other male relative available to attend, Mom is certainly welcome. The purpose of the evening is to let Dad see the classroom, meet the teachers, and get an idea of what the children do each day.

PRESCHOOL FOR FALL

We still have some openings for our fall classes.  If you have friends, neighbors, or relatives looking for a preschool for fall, please tell them about our school.  We will once again offer parent participation and non-participation spots in both classes.  Please pass the word!  Thanks!

DONATIONS WELCOMED

1.  Computer and copy paper for the free art center.

2.  Stickers and foam pieces:  farm animals.

3.  Clear plastic 2 liter bottles.
